KERAMETAL, akciova spolocnost, Bratislava, has been involved in marketing and sale of systems of the defence industries from the separation of the former Czecho-Slovakia; i. e., since 1993. Since this time, it has achieved the position of one of the most important trade organisations in this field. The fundamental philosophy of the company is participation in the development, production, and the resulting sale of the most modern defence technology systems for the requirements of the Slovak Army, as well as for customers abroad. All these systems satisfy NATO standards, as well as the demanding criteria of modern defence systems throughout the world.

KERAMETAL, is the joint owner of a number of solutions for the development of production know-how, such as the ZUZANA 155mm self-propelled howitzer with wheeled or track drive, the ALIGATOR and TATRAPAN type armoured vehicles, the TALET aircraft hauler, the RV-20 recovery vehicle, and the modernisation of the T-72 chassis, amongst others.

In all of these projects, KERAMETAL, is the exclusive broker of the above products, on the basis of commercial contracts with the manufacturer, emanating from a share of the project financing and co-ownership of the technical know-how.

At present, a very long and demanding stage of development and testing of individual systems and diverse system units has been surmounted. Currently, the above technology is in its production stage. The tests and long-term operation of our vehicles and weapons systems in the extreme conditions of both tropical and subtropical areas, and snow-covered plateaux above the Arctic circle, have proved their quality. The team of very well prepared, experienced, and expert research and development personnel has succeeded in constructing vehicles and weapons systems of the highest quality, satisfying the most demanding criteria for evaluating the probability of combat endurance of the technology, and the success coefficient in fulfilling tactical assignments.

Currently, the fundamental fact is that all the endeavour placed into the development and testing of new vehicle and weapons systems prototypes has been transformed into the practical evaluation and serial production of individual products, compatible with systems already in operation, and systems used in NATO member countries. This fact guarantees the appeal of our products, also for our partners abroad.
